Tanzania tells Swala to freeze US $130m Orca bite

Tanzania's national oil company TPDC ordered Swala Oil and Gas to delay its US $130m acquisition of a major stake in the Songo Songo field. Swala was due to buy 40% of Orca Exploration subsidiary PanAfrican but TPDC, which is a partner in the block, said it had instructed Swala to delay the deal until a more detailed analysis was conducted into how it would affect the existing natural gas production sharing agreement with the government.
