Teacher Professional Development Based on Indonesian Qualification Framework: A Case Study

摘要

The development of educational technology requires teachers to update their skills and competency. The objective of this research is to analyze the chance of competence that can be developed in the department of office administration education as a teacher professional development programbased on the Indonesian qualification framework. The research used qualitative study The key informant is the head of the Office Administration Education Department. The validity was done using triangulation of data and sources. The qualitative data extracted from the interviews were analyzedthrough content of analysis. The result of the research shows that there are seven chances to improve teacher’s professional development that are: public relation skill, office technology stenography, archivist, typing skill, computer for administration, and secretarial skill. The competenciescan be achieved through professional training; certification of competency program; and supporting facilities during the training program. The teachers who have already had the qualifications can be categorized as competent and credible in executing their duties and responsibilities. The chanceof each competency will be discussed in this paper.
