Complications digestives de Pimmunotherapie des cancers Gastrointestinal Immune-Related Adverse Events Associated with Immune-Checkpoint Inhibitors

Immunotherapy, including CTLA-4 and PD-1 antagonists, has improved the prognosis of many cancers, including melanoma and non-small cell lung cancer. These drugs cause immune-related adverse events (IRAE). Gastrointestinal IRAE are among the most frequent and severe. This paper describes the clinical pictures and treatment of these complications. Acute colitis (similar to inflammatory bowel disease) and microscopic colitis are the main forms of gastrointestinal IRAE.
