India eyes rupee payments for Iran oil imports amid US sanctions

MUMBAI (ICIS)--India is looking at making payments in rupees (Rs) for oil imports from Iran following re-imposition of US sanctions on its major crude supplier, a source from the Indian Ministry of Finance said on Friday. The Indian government expects to finalise the payment details with Iran in the next few weeks, the source said.
