Shale oil makes good fit for refining/petchem complexes - Enterprise

HOUSTON (ICIS)--Shale oil has a greater proportion of naphtha than other grades of crude, making it a good fit for the combination refining and petrochemical complexes found overseas, Enterprise Products said during an investor presentation. In particular, shale oil has much smaller amounts of gasoil and vacuum residuals (resid), Enterprise said. It made its comments at the MLP & Energy Infrastructure Conference, hosted by the Master Limited Partnership Association (MLPA).
