SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Protests by residents in Longkou, Shandong, have caused district authorities to stop environmental studies for a new refinery and petrochemical project in the area, market sources said on Friday. The project belongs to Yulong Petrochemical, which is part of the authorities’ plans for an integrated refinery and aromatics production facility in Longkou Industrial Park, local media reported.
