Exxon Mobil (NYSE: XOM) is selling half of its majority interest in Hong Kong’s biggest electricity provider to its partner CLP Holdings Ltd. for $1.8 billion, according to a Nov. 19 press release. Exxon has been marketing its stake since at least April 2012. Exxon owns 60% interest in the Castle Peak Power Station, which is one of the largest coal-fired power stations in the world, CLP said.
