India's state-owned refiners said Tuesday they remain hopeful the US will grant sanctions waivers allowing them to continue buying crude from Iran, albeit at much reduced volumes. "I expect some waivers to come," Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd. (MRPL) Managing Director M. Venkatesh told reporters on the sidelines of India Energy Forum by CeraWeek. "It is important for India to get some barrels of crude from Iran. Otherwise if Saudi is not able to jack up their production, what will happen to oil prices?" (OD Oct.9'18).
