Glencore wins Mexico's CFE thermal tender

Glencore won Mexico's CFE Generacion IV tender for 2.08 mt of thermal coal through a reverse auction on 15 November 2018. Glencore and Trafigura were the companies qualified to present their offers, but only Glencore participated in the auction. CFE asked for up to 1.82 mt of type 2 coal (6,200 kc GAR min) and for up to 0.26 mt of type 3 coal (5,800 kc GAR min) for delivery to the 2.1 MW Petacalco coal fired power station between 31 January and 20 April 2019.
