Pakistan: December urea offtake up sharply year on year

Urea offtake in Pakistan in December 2019 at 1.345 Mt was up 89.2% on the same month a year earlier, according to the latest assessment by the National Fertilizer Development Centre (NFDC). December availability of urea was assessed at 1.55 Mt comprising carryover from November close to 1.04 Mt and domestic output of 511,000 t. There were no December imports following imports of 101,000 t in July. A mere 204,000 t was carried over into January.
