Shell has agreed to charter a fleet of new LNG-fuelled crude oil and products tankers, as part of its drive to decarbonise shipping. The huge charter might indicate the cusp of a wave of dual- fuelled oil tanker orders is about to break. Shell Tankers (Singapore) Private signed a long-term deal to charter a fleet of 10 LNG dual-fuel Aframax 113,000 deadweight tonnage (DWT) crude tankers from Sinokor Petrochemical. The vessels will be built by Samsung Heavy Industries in South Korea and delivered from 2022. SHI valued the deal at KRW 751.3 billion (USD 620 million)
