摘要

It is required in converters and electric arc furnaces to dissolute lime stones as fast as possible to create molten slags with target compositions, facilitating the reactions between molten slags and steels. A number of studies have been carried out so far to clarify dissolution mechanism and rates of solid CaO into molten slags1, 2). However, most of them simulated the BOF converter slags of CaO-SiO_2-FeO system. It should be pointed out here that studies for secondary refining slags have not been so far conducted much. Therefore, studies have been carried out to clarify the effect of Al_2O_3, MgO and CaF_2 on the dissolution rates of solid CaO into CaO-SiO_2 system slags. In fact, this report follows our previous one3) with further analyses and the summary has been already published last year4).
