Perhaps not surprisingly, the first correspondents to The Journal about the professional body are negative: the prospectus does not seem to offer anything new; and the governance arrangements will not be accepted by the profession at large, are two views expressed (p661). The Journal has also approached a range of pharmacists for their views and, although there is some disquiet about what the new professional body has to offer, there are also a number of more positive comments expressed (p657).
