A 25-year-old woman with a history of congenital solitary right kidney presented with constipation, incomplete bladder emptying, and left lower quadrant pain. Pain started 1 week before presentation, and it was described as intermittent, achy, and radiating to lower back. She reported incomplete emptying but denied dysuria, hematuria, nocturia, frequency, urgency, and incontinence. She also reported recent changes in bowel habits with development of constipation. She denied any rectal bleeding or weight loss. She had difficulty in micturition few years ago, which resolved without any intervention. She had menarche at 16 years. Her menstrual cycle was every 28 days and it lasted for 4 days. She was on norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol tablets for dysmenorrhea. She had never been pregnant and never tried to conceive. She had a history of congenital solitary right kidney. Her surgical history was unremarkable. She denied smoking and drank alcohol occasionally.
