Singapore—JX Nippon Oil & Energy, Japan’s largest refiner, has stepped up its imports of kerosene from South Korea, including a spot purchase of an MR-sized cargo for delivery in November as cold spells along with heavy snow arrived in northern Japan, market sources said Friday. The imports come as Japanese kerosene stocks fell to 2.47 million kl or 15.54 million barrels in the week to November 12, according to weekly data from the Petroleum Association of Japan.
