Lagos-Two Nigerian oil product marketers,African Petroleum and Zenon Petroleum,plan to merge in a move that would create Nigeria's biggest petroleum product marketing company with combined turnover of 5 billion,sources said January 15.African Petroleum,which was majority owned by BP before the Nigerian government took it over in the 1970s,is the fourth-largest fuel marketer in the country,behind Total,Oando and ExxonMobil.Zenon is the country's largest independent in the sector.
