Saudi Aramco posts 8.9 million b/d crude output for 2006

London-Saudi Aramco,the world's largest oil producer,said May 1 it pumped an average 8.9 million b/d of crude in 2006,down 200,000 b/d from 2005's 9.1 million b/d.Launching its 2006 annual review,the Saudi state-owned oil and gas company said its "aggressive exploration programs"had enabled it to replace the total 3.25 billion barrels of oil it produced last year,putting its recoverable crude and condensate reserves at 259.9 billion barrels.The figures were broadly similar to those of 2005,when Aramco produced a total 3.3 billion barrels of crude and reserves were pegged at 259.8 billion barrels.
