Distillates:Heating oil takes a ride in the Gulf

US Gulf Coast heating oil was a virtual roller coaster for traders Tuesday with prices swinging up and down inside 1.5 cents/gal.Liquidity was better than average with traders trying to balance their books on a Colonial Pipeline scheduling day.The market started at the May NYMEX heating oil contract minus 3 cents/gal and quickly to dove to minus 4 cents/gal by mid-morning.It hovered from May minus 4 cents/gal to minus 3.5 cents/gal for much of day before rocketing to May minus 2.25 cents/gal during the Platts Market on Close assessment process.
