After years of announcing one new project after another and scrambling to expand pipeline takeaway capacity, midstream energy players in North America are cooling their heels. During the recent round of third - quarter earnings calls, major pipeline firms such as Enbridge, Plains All American and Magellan Midstream made no major announcements about adding incremental capacity.
