The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has delayed its final rulemaking on an anti-corruption measure requiring energy firms to disclose their payments to foreign governments - a sign that the oil lobby’s opposition to the provision is paying off. The SEC faced an Apr. 15 deadline to establish its final rule on the new measure that was part of last year’s sweeping Dodd-Frank financial reform law.
