The growing ties between Canada and Africa, particularly in the mining and mining-related sectors, benefits both parties, says nonprofit organisation the Canada-Southern Africa Chamber of Business, which promotes trade and industry between Canada and Southern Africa. Canada-based mining business development and marketing company MineAfrica president Bruce Shapiro, who is also president of the Canada-Southern Africa Chamber of Business, tells Mining Weekly that several mining equipment suppliers and service providers from Southern Africa are trying to penetrate the Canadian mining industry.
