EU survey finds public favors nutrition labeling over ad bans

An EU-funded study into public acceptance of nutrition policies has found that most people support nutrition labeling but are unhappy with food and drink advertising bans, EU Food Law reports.Preliminary results from the EATWELL survey were unveiled at a conference last month, in Madrid. Attendees learned that public acceptance of nutrition policies is influenced by age, economic wealth, political views, perceived causes of obesity, and willingness to pay for such policies.
