BP goes deep offshore China

BP is making plans for a deepwater exploration campaign offshore China after being given the green light from the Ministry of Commerce to start exploring in the South China Sea, according to reports. BP China president Chen Liming said the operator had been given the nod to acquire equity in Block 43/11, which is operated by state-owned China National Offshore Oil Corp (CNOOC).
