With regard to the unprecedented-scale earthquake of 11 March 2011 that struck eastern Japan facing the Pacific Ocean, on behalf of JPCA, I would like to express my heartfelt sympathy to all individuals and organizations that were affected by the disaster. At the same time, I wish to express my utmost gratitude to a number of messages of condolence, offers of support and wishes for quick recovery which came from all over the world. I firmly believe that the entire nation will get together to come back from the abyss of despair and overcome this crisis.
