As of January 2005,Malaysia had 3.8 billion barrels of crude oil reserves and 87 trillion cubic feet of natural gas,giving it oil and gas world rankings of 27th' and 13th respectively.Some of the world's petroleum giants have been present in Malaysia for over a hundred years.
