LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Primary Care's Central Role in Managing Atopic Dermatitis

The majority of patients with atopic dermatitis (AD) have mild-to-moderate disease. Although the majority of AD diagnoses are made in children under 5 years of age, the condition may persist or begin in adulthood. Disease of this severity can be optimally managed by primary care providers (PCPs); however, current treatment guidelines have not been conceived with PGPs in mind.
