Problems of assurance of strength and service life of sea ice-resistant stationary platforms of Arctic shelf

Provision of operating reliability of hull structures of off-shore platforms in the Russian shelf requires meeting a set of requirements to the quality of welded joints, guaranteeing prevention of cyclic and brittle fractures. Problems are analyzed, which arise when using the approaches, suggested by foreign experts, to substantiation of these requirements, and ways of solving them are proposed, proceeding from the methods of physical modeling methods of fracture processes. Investigation results are implemented in the codes and procedural documents of RF Register and are used in certification of materials and technological processes of welding for the shelf constructions.
