Tissue culture of Rauwolfia serpentina Benth. on nutrient media with different contents of starch hydrolysate

摘要

Induction of the synthesis of alpha-amylase by cultured R. serpentina [Rauvolfia serpentina] cells grown on media with different amylodextrin contents was studied. The full substitution of a traditional source of carbon in the medium with the starchresulted in a 2-fold increase in the production of alpha-amylase by cultured cells.
