摘要

In this work there are presented results of mid-IR spectra (MIR) (295-10 K) and PXRD (295-140 K) studies applied to bis[cinchoninium tetrachlorocuprate(II)] trihydrate ([(cinH(2))(2+)(CuCl4)(2-)](2).3H(2)O, Cu(II)-cin). The results obtained by both experimental techniques showed the importance of sample preparation methods prior to recording reliable and repeatable data. All temperature effects, which influence the cinchonine molecule, are nicely reflected in the MIR region. The most characteristic is the behaviour of the bands at around 996, 1555, 1667 and 2145 cm(-1) which grow below 100 K from a very small features to a remarkable bands. (C) 2003 Elsevier Science B.V.
