摘要

Mango is commonly known as the King of fruits and belongs to family Anacardiaceae. It is an important tropical fruit of India, It is one of the major commercial crops of the world next to banana. Mango fruit is a rich source of sugar, pectin, vitaminC, and minerals like phosphorous, calcium, etc. In the post-harvest condition, mango fruit is infected by several fungal diseases like anthracnose, Rhizopus rot, stem end rot, Penicillum rot, Aspergillus niger rot and A. fumigatus rot. These diseases cause biochemical changes in the mango pulp. (Bagwan 2006; Gadgile and Chavan 2009; Fuchs et al.1980; Farzana 2005; Pande et al 1974; Reddy et al 1984; Tandon 1970). Among these diseases, A. niger rot is a very serious disease due to which severe losses ofmango fruits were observed.
