OVER 50% OF COTTON IMPORTS TOCHINA FAIL TO MEET QUALITY STANDARDS

Industrialized countries aren't the only ones complainingabout the poor quality of their imports.It was revealedrecently at a meeting of the National Cotton Inspection andquarantine Technology Communication that from January toOctober 2006,China imported 3.25 million tons of cotton,with 10,747 batches being tested,among which,5,640batches failed to meet standard qualification,causing heavylosses of 8,692 tons of cotton.
