We examine the problem of the comprehensive synthesis of a technical system that consists of a hydraulic motor, a mechanism to transfer the motion from the motor to the object that is being displaced, and a controller. It is assumed that the mechanism has a single degree of freedom and a variable transfer ratio. The system is intended for rapid displacement of an object from one position to another. The basic data are the coordinates of the initial and final positions of the object, its mass, the displacement time, and the accuracy of the realization of the final position. The indices (criteria) of the quality of the solution of the posed problem are the dimensions and the energy consumption of the motor. We consider several conditions of the realization of the positioning process that limit the freedom of the choice of the parameters. We determine the minimal acceptable driving force of the motor as a function of the form
