A problem of gaseous medium flow through a porous joint formed by the elastic contact of asperities of a metal-polymer pair has been solved under conditions of linear variation of the joint height and permeability along its length. It was established that neglect of elastic recovery of asperities in elastic contact results in considerable underestimation of gas leakage.
