Hydraulic tightness of the contact pair in mechanical face seal

摘要

The friction conditions for contact rings and flow of sealed fluid in mechanical face seals were considered. A model of tightness was developed and equations were derived for calculating the leakage with consideration of the effect of the separating film and its adhesion to the solid surfaces in contact.
