A 69-year-old man was referred for ametropia and negative dysphotopsia 6 months after uneventful unioc-ular cataract surgery with implantation of a 1-piece diffractive multifocal intraocular lens (IOL) (ReSTOR SN6AD1, Alcon, Inc.) with a power of 21.50 diopters (D). The axial length (AL) was 22.80 mm and the corneal power, 45.40 D (lOLMaster, Carl Zeiss Meditec), 45.00 D (Atlas topography), and 45.25 D (autokeratometer). The patient had no ocular history other than small bilateral nasal pterygia. The fellow right eye had an insignificant cortical cataract and was otherwise fully normal.
