Iron ore demand remains lacklustre in China this week. The local finished products market is dull and is unlikely to liven up, given that finished steel demand is expected to decline. For reference, square billet quotations have dropped by RMB 20/t on Friday. Mills have cut back on iron ore purchases under the current circumstances, although they still need to restock ahead of winter.
