Polystyrene thin film containing one-terminal thiol (PS-SM was spin-coated and adsorbed from 0.1 to 0.001 wt % of polymer solution in toluene onto evaporated gold (Au) film supported on Si-wafer substrate. The effect of polymer solution concentration on the aggregation structure of PS-SH thin films was determined on the basis of atomic force microscopic (AFM) observation.
