European Union foreign ministers have agreed an export ban on jet fuel and relevant additives to Syria on the grounds “they are being used for indiscriminate air attacks against civilians.” In a statement issued after its Oct. 20 meeting in Luxembourg, the Council of EU foreign ministers said, “as the Assad regime continues its brutal war against its own people, the Council today reinforced EU restrictive measures against the Syrian regime.”
