This paper discusses the friction and wear properties of sintered Fe-Cr-Cu powder material at high temperatures. The coefficient of friction and specific wear of the sintered material were measured by friction testing. The friction and wear tests showed a low coefficient of friction at temperatures above room temperature. Oxidized fine wear particles were observed on the sliding surface after the test; they were uniformly coated at 300℃, 400℃, and 500℃. Surface observation of wear properties found that the coefficient of friction and amount of specific wear correlated with the formation of oxidized fine wear particles.
