PURPOSE:To provide the sintered material for cutting tool and various wear- resistant tools excellent in high temperature property, by a method wherein a combined phase is made of W or W alloy by forming a hard dispersion phase out of the composite metal carbonitroxide having specified composition and the nitrided aluminum. CONSTITUTION:The titled sintered material is composed of as follows ; the hard dispersion phase comprised of 10-80% the composite metal carbonitroxide containing the component given as a specified composition formula and 0.5-10.0% the nitrided aluminum, the combined phase further containing 1-20% W or Mo, 1-20% Re (WMo+Re), and the balance comprised of W and inevitable impurities. Because this sintered material has high strength, high hardness, high toughness and is excellent in heat resistance and oxidation-resistance, the cutting performance is stably displayed when used for a high speed and high feed cutter. Further, when used for wear-resistant tools such as drowing die, bearing, etc. the excellent performance is displayed for a long period of times.
