Valves from Burkett have been used on a new type of autoclave which is said to offer substantially reduced running and maintenance costs. Here the company looks into its design and the benefits provided. For over ten years ESTS has been manufacturing commercial autoclaves, most of which are used to sterilise items such as porous loads, fabrics, utensils, glassware, fluids and plastics for both laboratory and medical use. According to its designers, however, the latest model - the Logiclave LAB300 - offers a substantial reduction in energy usage and operating costs.
