TAMAR: Deepwater operations

Deepwater pipeline precommissioning and inline inspections present significant logistical and technical challenges, and vessel time is typically a major expense. In the Tamar gas field project such challenges were overcome and costs were significantly reduced. This was achieved with the use of specialised subsea commissioning technology to mechanically displace and introduce pipeline fluids. In addition, ultrasonic inline inspection tools were used to assure pipeline integrity.
