Cataphoretic and autophoretic automotive primers: a comparative study

摘要

This study involved the morphological and chemical characterisation of an epoxy cataphoretic primer (carried out by PPG Iberica S.A., using a recently formulated lead-free bath) and a Series 800 AUTOPHORETIC primer (based on a polyvinylidene chloride polymer), along with an assessment of their anticorrosive behaviour and several other fundamental properties.
