PURPOSE: A language learning apparatus having a record comparison function and a language learning method using the same are provided, which increase learning efficiency by replaying user recording information recorded along a foreign language sound source together with the foreign language original sound at the same time. CONSTITUTION: The language learning system downloads and replays foreign language original sound for language learning and text information corresponding to the same through a computer, and includes a microphone and an AD converter(115) for converting user recording information inputted from the micro phone into a digitalized signal. A memory(105,107) stores the user recording information digitalized through the AD converter. And a DSP(101) stores the replaying per sentence of the foreign language original sound and the user voice information into the memory, and detects an empty signal of the user recording information inputted through the AD converter, and ends the user recording process when the empty signal is detected, and replays the foreign language original sound information and the user voice information at the same time when a key input signal according to the simultaneous replaying from the user is generated.
