Red Jacket Orchards in Geneva, NY, has developed and marketed a profitable and value-added product with its line of fresh juices and ciders. ABOUT 11 years ago, Red Jacket Orchards of Geneva, NY, was looking for a market to promote its line of fresh juice products. Appropriately, the Big Apple seemed like the ideal spot, so third-generation growers Brian and J.J. Nicholson loaded up a truck with juice and other products from their retail store. They returned with a truck still half-full of merchandise, but a new opportunity. "The people loved us, and we loved the chance to be able to market to them and specialize in their needs," says Brian Nicholson.
