Statistics: Brazilian market for trucks and buses continues to grow

Brazil - 207,574 trucks and buses above 3.5 tonnes gross vehicle weight were registered in Brazil during 2011, an increase of 11.5 per cent from 186,116 units in 2010, according to statistics reported by the Brazilian manufacturing and trade association, ANFAVEA. Whilst this growth was substantial, it was relatively modest compared with the previous year, when the market recovered and grew by 40.5 per cent from 132,498 commercial vehicles.
