Consultants are even busier than last year, and expect the trend to continue - with just the nagging doubt about the health of the economy, according to Transpro's trends survey. Optimism among transport consultants is running at an even higher level than last year, according to Transportation Professional's latest survey. For the second year running our annual business trends survey found a large majority of consultants enjoying rising workloads and growing staff numbers. Last year, concern about war in Iraq (which had not started when we undertook the field-work) and its possible impact on public funds may have made a slight dent in hopes for the transport market. This year not even the forthcoming spending review seems to be causing much concern. The spectre of boom and bust, for now, is absent.
