Response of different brinjal genotypes against brinjal shoot and fruit borer (Lendnodes orbonalis Guenee.) were evaluated at College Farm, N. M. C. A., Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari (Gujarat) in kharif (rainy season) 2013- 2014. In presentinvestigation it observed that none of the screened genotypes was found immune to L. orbonalis. The shoot infestation on various genotypes ranged from 4.00 to 15.50 per cent The genotype AB 7-2 recorded significantly lowest shoot damage (4.90 %) whereas, significantly highest shoot infestation observed in genotype JBGR1 which had 15.50 per cent In case of fruit damage on number and weight basis genotype AB 7-2 found to be resistance which noted 7.57 and 7.44 per cent infestation, respectively. Howeverthe highest infestation found on genotype JBGR 1 which noted 4432 per cent on number basis and 44.15 per cent on weight basis. Remaining genotypes ranged between 8.82 to 42.17 per cent (on number basis) and 9.03 to 42.14 per cent (on weight basis).
