A study on effect of different packaging material on keeping quality on three cultivars (Mridula, Alandi and Ganesh ) and two storage condition (41IC and 25UC) of pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) was done to find out the retention quality parameters upto60 days of storage. The uniformly harvested mature and healthy fruits of pomegranate three cultivars were packed in plastic crates after wrapping with news paper, brown paper, tissue paper and polythene bags as cushioning material and store at low temperature (4UC) and ambient temperature (25UQ. Significant difference was observed for interaction effect of packaging material, storage temperature and period for all the quality parameters during storage. Grain colour was not affected till 40 days with unwrapped (control), news paper, brown paper and tissue paper. The specific gravity, diameter and length were decreased during two months of storage. There was also decrease in acidity and ascorbic acid and increase TSS during two months of storage. In general polythene bag (150 gauge) were found to be best in cold condition (4UC), packaging material with regard of nutritional and microbial.
