Over the years, we have seen the world of TPMS experience many changes. More vehicles than ever are entering the market equipped with these systems, and the need for technicians to receive evolving training on these new systems has never been greater. We have tried to answer that need at TIA by introducing our new Advanced TPMS Training program and have added new features to our widely popular TPMS Relearn Chart. However, when it comes to TPMS technology, as soon as something is put into print, it is out of date. Manufacturers are constantly adding new part numbers and consolidating old ones to create an ever-changing spectrum of parts that can lead to even the most experienced individual scratching his head in bewilderment. Add in the new technology of programmable and universal TPMS replacement parts, and there is a lot that both the technician and tire retailer are going to need to understand today and in the years ahead.
